Florida's Improved Construction Practices Committee
The Florida Improved Construction Practices Committee...

Today's business and legal environment no longer allows companies to sit back complacently and merely react to situations that occur. The time, cost and exposure to risk make such inaction prohibitive. Court decisions as well as the constant challenge to existing law requires that we become more aware and be in a stronger position to respond when challenged.

The Improved Construction Practices Committee (ICPC) is a group of delegates drawn from the membership ranks of NACM of Florida, Inc. (SACM) and NACM-Tampa. Our primary purpose is to promote good, sound and equitable legislation, as it pertains to the construction and credit industry. ICPC has taken on the task of defeating bills that would significantly weaken the Florida Construction Lien Law and this task is ongoing throughout the entire year. Through the efforts of the ICPC and our lobbyist, numerous improvements are made to our state laws.

The results produce substantial savings for us all in the protection of our companies' assets. The funding for this effort is provided by voluntary contributions of NACM members along with contributions from the two NACM offices.
